Following its Jesuit mission to honor a determination to serve, ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ will recognize Timothy Lane for his commitment to giving back at this year’s ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ Awards Dinner on April 3 at Cipriani 42nd Street.
For more than 35 years of service to his alma mater, ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ will honor Timothy Lane ’85, P’24,’16 with the Alumni Service Award during this year’s ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ Awards Dinner on Wednesday, April 3 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
A history major at ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ, Lane spent most of his career as a managing director at TIAA and is now president of Emeriti Retirement Health Solutions and a Councilman for the Borough of Montvale in New Jersey. “At TIAA, I was exposed to a lot of colleges and that had something to do with my interest in giving back and being committed to higher education — and certainly to my alma mater,” he said.
Lane has been an active member of several committees at ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ, including the Reunion Committee, the ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ Awards Dinner (as a co-chair and a committee member), the Our Promise Campaign Committee, and the Trustee Advisory Council. He and his wife Rose (Mulvey) ’85, P’24,’16 have also been engaged members of the Parents Leadership Council and hosts of the President’s Reception and the Friends of the Jesuits Golf Outing. In 2009, they established the Mulvey and Lane Family Scholarship at ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ to honor both their parents and their belief in the value of a Catholic education. Their children, Thomas ’24 and Mairin ’16, are following in the family tradition of service to ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ. Read more about Lane’s commitment to ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ.
Since 1988, the annual ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ Awards Dinner has raised more than $21 million for the Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund and other scholarships, while celebrating the achievements and volunteer service of distinguished members of the ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ community.
